I actually did this a few weeks back.

I had this BIG, ugly, gold frame. It had great potential...

In eying every page of last seasons Pottery barn catalogue. I figured I could copy.

A little spray paint and some twine!

I just wrapped twine around the frame and hot glued in some areas to keep the twine from slipping around.

cheap Ol' clothes pins to attach the boy's artwork and Viola!

I have this hanging in my hall. I love to display children's artwork everywhere in the house.

Of course here's them helping me blog this afternoon.

Cookbooks and closets....

I hope y'all are having a wonderful Tuesday, we sure are around here today.

I just wanted to share a couple of my favorite cookbooks right now.

This was pretty much sums up my cooking right now. Three kids, four dogs and a husband...That doesn't leave much time for cooking. I bought this book recently at Barnes and Nobles, I love it. Lots of yummy kid friendly recipes. I also like it because each recipe comes with a list of things you need at the store and a side item that would go good with the recipe.

My other several year old favorite is this...

The ultimate Southern Living has some great recipes. Quick, healthy and family favorites. I always find something in here when I want to impress someone with my cooking!

And of course Mrs. Paula herself

This is not your healthiest recipes...but Ohhhh so YUMMY!
My favorite enchiladas come from this book.

I LOVE cookbooks, and love to hear when others find great cookbooks that they love.I would rather read a cookbook than a book. I guess because I LOVE to eat!

On to the closet...I'm not done, butgetting there. It definetly looks much better and CLEANER.

I went through and cleaned so much crap...

I mean like who really wears 100 white tee shirts? 500 pairs of unmatched socks?

I utilized our shelving much more. They were empty, so why not put things on there that you use daily?

My hubby is so bad about hanging jeans up, so folded on the shelves works better for both of us.

I added a few accessories to his dresser...

An old frame I hot glued some twine on the back. Now a great place to place pictures and little Love notes!

I found the cutest little necklace holder at TJ Maxx. It was only 9.99. I still want to add a rug on the hardwood floors and a chandelier, If I can convince Mr. B.

I guess I better go get the kiddos picked up from school.

Yeah right....

I'm not real sure why I ALWAYS find something to make a big huge mess with. Like I don't have anything else to do with my time! My hubby and kids think I'm completely nuts!! Anyways, I have been wanting to repaint my master closet. I painted it before we had our closet shelves installed. Well, I didn't mix the paint good...and lets just say the paint was very streaky on the walls once it dried. It has bugged me for a year now.

I found a gallon of cream color paint on clearance at Home depot for 5.00. The color is called Irish cream, pretty much the same color as our shelving.

I actually had already started before I took some pictures yesterday.

It's really hard to tell with the lighting, but the paint is looking so much better, I want to change the fluorescent light out and add a cute little chandelier in here as well. And I'm going to get everything organized in here too.

I really want a closet that looks like this from Megan's from Honey Were home.

Or like this....I love all the room in this master closet. When we built our home 8 years ago, I thought our closet was huge, and it was compared to what we had before.

I guess I need to go in there and finish painting. I really do not like painting at all, especially with a two year old and a bull dog at my feet.

I will be sure to share the turn out when I'm all done.

My new little craft room light

Yep, I'm back...I know it's been a long time since I have posted, but I still have been reading my favorite blogs!

I'm just picking right back up and joining right back in. I thought about quitting all together, but I get so many wonderful ideas here in blog land. I hope I can inspire some folks as well.

One of the latest things I've accomplished is getting rid of the boring ceiling fan here in my craft ~~dump~~ room. It has added so much character and actually a lot more light.

Shhhh, don't tell anyone it's not really glass! You would never know unless you touched it. I got it from Home Depot for 99.00. It really does look expensive.

It definitely pulled the room together, I just look at it and smile when I'm in here on the computer

Here's where I do my ~~blogging~~ reading! Not no more...please come back, I have a lot to share.

It's snowing here again today, I'm jumping off to go get my babies from school. If it even looks like snow around here, school is canceled!

They got up so great this morning, I was proud of them. It was all smooth sailing! of course Charlie Mac thought he was going to school as well! He starts after Labor day. Cole is a BIG junior high boy now, I can't believe it. Carson is a third grader,seems unreal. Before I know it Charlie Mac will start kindergarten, I'm enjoying him at home with me, I don't take it for granted.

It seems crazy that Summer is over around here. I will have to find my new routine and get back on schedule. I'm heading off to the gym to get some running in before Charlie Mac and I go over to my in laws to help them get moved in. We helped yesterday and got so much done. I'm so happy for them and their house is beautiful!

I'm just thrilled as can be....I have been wanting this bad boy for a while now. I broke down and got the thing. I know it will be used lots.

It takes great sports shots. I'm probably going to wonder why I didn't get this along time ago. Football and basketball here we come!!!!

I was just going to pop in here real quick this morning, we are heading to body sculpting this morning. Have a wonderful Friday.

Have you ever been somewhere and found something lovely, but had no idea what so ever you were going to do with it? Well, I'm guilty today. I ran into my local flea market and saw this cute antique armorie. Even better, everything in the booth was 1/2 off the price. So, I got her for 70.00 dollars! The whole way home I was like, where in the world am I going to put this little beauty?

For now I have her in the living room. I'm not sure if she will stay there, but I think these can be put anywhere....bathroom to hold towels, dining room to hold china, bedroom to hold clothing or bed linens. Really anywhere. I know it will be a looooooooonnnnngggg time before grand kids are in the pictures, but I would love to be able to hand it down to a grand baby! Oh, good golly I know I'm so ahead of myself!

I have been in need of a gift wrapping space. I thought this would be a great place to organize all of it. The wrapping rolls would fit perfect in the large area, and the ribbon, bags and other things in the drawers.

The little boys love to paint, so I got them a cheap canvas at Michael's the other day and let them paint till their hearts desire!

It kept them entertained for a little bit anyway....Almost why I got dinner done!

Charlie Mac was covered in paint by the time he was done. I had to scrub him good in the tub. It has just been so hot here, we have had to find things to do in the house. I did manage to go though outgrown winter clothes today. I'm not fooling with consignment sales or EBay this season. We have a local shop that does real good. So, I'm letting them do the work!

I' m going to go get the littlest monkey in bed before the big boys come home from church. Have a great evening.

Summer's Almost over...

I know I have been a totally lame blogger this Summer, But these kiddos have kept me on my toes. I LOVE them to pieces, but this Momma is ready to send them on there way to school. They are ready to go back also. I'm sad at the fact that my biggest baby boy will be in the 7th grade, it just doesn't seem possible.

And Mr. Carson...well, he is just Mr. Carson. That boy is a mess!! You never know what is coming out of his mouth. Such a stinker! We have probably done more swimming in our backyard this year,then the first year we got our pool. The boys,Charlie and I have just really enjoyed it this Summer.

We have definitely had some ~~quiet~~ noisy days at home, just hanging doing nothing. Truthfully my boys would rather be home than anywhere, can be a good thing, but bad thing as well! Little Charlie Mac has been off his little schedule, staying up to late, sleeping in, NO nap, then crashing at 7:00 pm. This is all changing this week for our family.

We have had several family dinners over the last few weeks. I always love getting together with family. My mother and father in law are building a beautiful house. They are getting ready to move in this next week. They have only been building for a couple of weeks. They must have a wonderful builder!!!! ( You are a wonderful builder Mr. Hubby!) I will share pictures soon on their house.

I have been able to get some things done in the house. More to come on that soon! I have mostly just been taking it easy and playing with the boys. I feel grateful that I can be home with them and just hang out! It just seems like this Summer has flown by. I want them to have memories to take into adulthood. I want them to remember that their Momma was fun and had a good time with them.

So back to the business of school and all the other things that go along with a new school year. Cole starts basketball and Carson starts football. So, I will be the taxi lady here shortly.

New look in my bath...

Well, I was totally wanting to repaint my bathroom....AND I did. Not me, but Mr. Hubs!

I was so sick of the red, I like red, but just wasn't what I wanted anymore. It's just not ME anymore. I just love simple and calm. So here's the before

And I just am so happy with the calm yellow. I used Sherwin William Golden fleece on the walls and Bosc Pear on the ceilings. I feel like it flows so much more with the rest of the house now. It's amazing how much lighter and brighter it is in here now.

I got the cute little hooks from Pier One, perfect for hanging those wet towels. The three tiered wicker basket came from there as well.

This is a view up on top of the armoire. I just used stuff I had from around the house, mostly flea market finds.

The tray was another flea market find, holding perfume and flowers from my yard.

I also got the sunburst mirror from Pier One. I'm looking for something maybe for the other wall, but I don't want it to be too busy.

I'm SOOOOO happy with the turnout, It makes me smile when I walk in the room.

I guess I better get off here and get ready for a crazy day....Take the boys to the dentist, a swimming play date here with some friends, and packing for our family Summer road trip! Whew!!!!

Couples Retreat....

A couple of weekends ago we had the best time on a couples retreat with our wonderful Sunday school class. We have some of the most sweetest people in our class. It was so nice to get away for a couple of nights.

We went to Petit Jean mountain, absolutely beautiful....We hiked as a group and went to the famous Petit Jean waterfall, laughed, slept, ate and bonded.

We stayed up late and played games, we laughed so much! It was great. I'm not even telling you what we did in this game!!!! HA! : )

I love getting together like this, because you really can get to know each other and build relationships.

I'm so thankful for a wonderful husband, and it is just GREAT to get away for the weekend. We have so much fun together. We are so incredibly blessed with wonderful friends. I'm already looking forward to the next one!

On another note....I can't wait to try this new ice cream maker out. You do not have to use rock salt and ice!! It should be super easy. We love us some homemade ice cream in the Summer. We found this one at Williams- Sonoma.

I will let you know how this one does.

Today was the boys last day of school!!!! I hope now things slow down some here for us. I'm sure ready for some relaxing days out in the pool. Tonight after the boys get done with boxing we are heading to our church for some water slide fun, they are having a party for the end of school! The boys will have a blast.

Memorial Day Fish fry...

We had the best day outside today, the whether was hot, but not to hot! Charlie's parents caught tons of fish over the last few days, so we fried them right on up. They were so yummy!! : )

My silly and HOT hubby!

My dad and Charlie's sisters and their family came out and ate and swam the whole afternoon with us. I just love when we all get together and hand out and relax. This is Cole before his haircut, more on that later!

Charlie Mac had the best time outside today, he never stopped. He is the most perfect baby, when we are outside. He loves the pool this year and his favorite thing is "jump Mom, jump" that means he wants to jump to me! He just giggles the whole time in the pool. He ate his fish while in motion!

Charlie and his dad did a wonderful job on the fish frying. I'm so excited for Nana and Pa, they are fixe'n to build a brand new house! I don't know who their builder is though! Hehee....

And these two rotten teenage boys here are my nephews! Such stinkers, but at the same time great kids. Cole and Carson just love being around Michael and Caleb and think there so cool. They have turned into such handsome young men. I'm proud of them both.

Well to say the least, we had a FABOULOUS day. I hope your Memorial day was great also. I know I've been missing here, but I do hope to get back to regular blogging. It's just crazy around here at the end of the school year.

Well, actually finished this ALONG time ago. Several weeks ago anyways! I have been so busy around here with the kids, The end of the school year is CRAZY.

I have so much catch up to do this week, so definitely come back.

I found this old hutch at a flea market several weeks ago. I gave it a coat of prime and a fresh coat of paint. I LOVE the new updated look.

It fits perfectly by the kitchen table. There is lots of storage too, A girl can never have to many places to store dishes and linens!

I changed out the hardware with new.....

Take a look at the before of this ugly thing! I know the quality of the picture is horrible, but you get the idea!

drop cloth bandwagon...

Ok, so I have joined in on the drop cloth bandwagon!

I have been trying to find some curtains to go in here that were not an arm and a leg. I search high and low, and was just not going to pay 60.00 for one panel, when I need six of them babies!

I decided to go with the drop cloth canvases. I went to my local Home Depot, and they were 9.96 for one. So, I loaded up six of them!

I washed and dried them first, and then ironed them real good with starch.

clipped them on to curtain rings and Viola!

I LOVE the texture of them, washing and drying them made a big difference in the fabric.

I LOVE how they turned out, and best of all they look expensive, but they were so cheap! I also bought a new quilt potterybarn.com. It was on clearance, I was watching it for a while hoping it would go on sale. I couldn't be happier with it.

This morning Cole had his track and field. After, Charlie and I took him to lunch. They finished up just in time, it is supposed to storm here all weekend. So we will enjoy some family home time this weekend, FINE by me!

Wonderful weekend

Charlie planed up a little trip for us on Saturday. He got his sweet parents to come and stay the night here and keep the boys while we had a little night on the town....We had so much fun, shopping, eating at Cajun's last night. We went and walked the Big Damn Bridge at sunset and even drove around downtown and looked at old beautiful houses. We stayed the night at the Capital Hotel. Any Arkansas people, you need to stay there... Amazing hotel. It was even featured in May's Southern Living. They just went under a 28 million dollar remodel. Some of the original elements were left, Just wonderful. Charlie surprised me as well with chocolate covered strawberries and a pitcher of tea. I LOVE me some tea!! He also had flowers waiting. I'm such a lucky girl to be married to such a wonderful man.

It is absolutely beautiful here today. The boys were dying to get in the frigid water this afternoon. I told them they would freeze, but they didn't care, I don't think kids get cold!

CM played around and had fun watching the boys.

Charlie and I have been working outside a lot here lately. so much to do when you have a big yard! I do enjoy working in the yard and just being outside.

Carson and Cole playing with water guns, yes I got sprayed! I wasn't very happy!

It seems like yesterday this little guy came into the world, I cannot believe he is 8 today. Carson has brought so much joy to our lives. He is definitely "middle child"!! Just about everything that comes out of his mouth is funny. There is never a dull moment with him. He is full speed from sun up to sun down. We love him and would not trade him for anything in the world!

We are having a little family birthday this evening, I told him I would make him anything he wanted for dinner. He told me Shrimp fried rice. Carson doesn't really like birthday cake either, so he wants 4 layer desert. I will share the recipe soon. It's really good!

I checked him out today for lunch and we went and ate at Subway. I'm trying to make his day special and all about him. I'm taking up cupcakes to his class here shortly.

AND, I have been busy crafting around here. I promise I will be back tomorrow to share. Have a great afternoon.

How does your garden grow?...

I absolutely love to be outside this time of the year. I LOVE flowers, gardens, trees and anything else that has to do with planting.

We have been busy working out in the yard over the last couple of weeks. We Charlie's guys planted a bunch of olive shrubs, I can't remember the real name of them....But they grow fast and it will soon be a hedge along the road and give us privacy from the street. I think they add lots of character to our yard as well.

Here is the garden that we have about got finished...We are growing green onion, squash, okra, cucumbers, and tomatoes.

My azaleas are in full bloom!

I always pot kimberly ferns in my pots by the front door. They last all season and have hardly any maintenance.

And the reason we bought this land to begin with......The oak tree!

My little guy is at preschool this morning, so I've got lots to do. Just thought I would share my yard. Have a great Thursday.

I'm so excited.....This next month Charlie and I are going on a couples retreat with our Sunday school class. It will be so good for us to go to. We have a awesome marriage, but I think every marriage can always use more knowledge. My Mom is going to keep the boys one night and Charlie's parents are going to keep them the other.

Here's my little munchkin this afternoon, I could just eat him up. We are fix'en to go pick up the bigger boys up from school. I'm ready to see them. It's is glorious here, so we will be playing out in the yard. I'm running tonight with a group of girls. I love my running time.

I will be back tomorrow with a finished project. Happy Monday!

1.00 chairs....

Don't hate me because I have a neighbor that sells old chairs at her garage sale for 25 cents and 75 cents! What a score. I have big plans for these babies. I think I'm going to give them a new coat of a creamy white paint and recover the seats with a pretty fabric. This is on my to do list this week.

This chair is old and has lots of character to it, I think it will look awesome when I'm done! I already had started cleaning it up and took the seat off.

Here's my sweet little helper, drinking his daddy's coke. NO, I don't give him a can coke to get his finger or tongue cut off on a normal basis!! : )

We have a busy day ahead, it's my grandpa's 80th birthday party today. I hope you have a great weekend as well.

Mantels {Times} Three.....

Oh My, how I LOVE mantels....

I Love the cozy feel they give to a room. I personally love a simple arrangement with lots of layering on the mantle. Here are my three mantels....

This is the one in the master bedroom. I Love laying in bed, reading a magazine in winter and looking at the

fire. I'm not totally set on my arranging on here.

This is the living room mantel, it is massive. It was kind of tricky for me to get it done and actually look good. I'm happy with the decor. Again, lots of layering. I think layering gives it a much more informal feel. We are so not formal around here!

This is the hearth room mantel. I love this little spot as well. Again, so informal. Just about everything on here is from a flea market. I love to find different cheap items to use and be creative with.

I have been messing around with Photoshop today. I usually get so frustrated, I end up just giving up. I have a couple of books for dumb photoshop people like me! Ha~!

Easter 2010

Our Easter morning started out by seeing what the Easter bunny left in the boys baskets. I try to stay away from so much candy. The boys were wanting the Blind Side, so the bunny gave them it. Cole got "Diary of a wimpy Kid" book and some new Gummies for his MP3 player. Carson got a kite, Me and him had lots of fun out trying to fly it this afternoon. The bunny also left him a Star Wars set. Little Mac got a crayon roll, It is so cute....It rolls up and is perfect for the diaper bag. He also got him a little chair to go out by the pool.

The other day CM crawled up on the bar to play in the water, he tumbled down and fell on his head. Scared me to death. So that is what he's sporting on his eye!

I TRIED to get some pictures of the boys this morning, HAHA!!!...... Carson has his fingers up to make bunny ears on his brothers, Little toot.

This was a sweet one of Cole and Charlie Mac....Carson was off getting in trouble for not listening!
Now there is a band aid, It started bleeding because the boys were ruff housing. So yes, Sponge Bob makes it all better.

The boys look sweet in their matching blue Polo's. I found CM's outfit at a consignment shop, it's a Kelly's kids, I paid 8.00 for it and had a C monogrammed on it. Charlie and I always match the boys as well on Easter and Christmas.

I cooked lunch for my family today after church. My sister,brother, Mom, dad and my in laws came to share Easter with us. I love getting together with my family. My heart aches for people that don't have family to share holidays with. I cooked ham,mashed potatoes and yeast rolls. Mom brought beans and deviled eggs. Charlie's mom brought dressing. For dessert I made strawberry shortcake, a tradition.

We had a great Easter. I'm ready to get back to the swing of things tomorrow. My house is a wreck, Thank goodness the cleaning lady comes tomorrow! It's hard to keep a clean house when everyone is home. I wouldn't trade it for anything though. Have a wonderful Easter evening.

Wednesday.....

Today, I'm hoping to be a pretty laid back day. Charlie Mac and I went to Bible study this morning. I made hash brown casserole for us to snack on. So yummy and easy.....

1 package of frozen hash browns
1 8oz sour cream
1 can cream of mushroom soup
shredded cheddar cheese
1 can of french fried onions

Mix everything together and top with more onions. Bake in a 9x13 uncovered dish.
375 degrees for about 30 minutes.

Charlie Mac and I are going to go take a little nap, and then head outside and enjoy the weather.

Wye Mountain...

It was beautiful here Saturday, we decided to take a little day trip to Wye Mountain. The daffodil field there is beautiful. I tried to get some pictures of the kids, not an easy job! I hardly got any good pictures. They were stinkers.

Check out Cole here, he was complaining...."Why do we have to drive this far to get a picture with a flower!"

So, not very good pictures, but we had fun and that's what the most important thing was. Sometimes that is just the way it works out.

Easy moss wreath

I wanted a little somethin' somethin' to hang over my mirror in the living room. I'm all about layering here lately.

I bought a grapevine wreath from Walmart, it was 3.50, and a couple of bags of reindeer moss for 2.17 for each bag. I added the moss with my glue gun, lots of glue sticks! And a few burns, not too bad! I just glued it around the entire wreath, and left the sides where you could see the vine.

You can see my little munchkins head, he's always helping'!

And he played hide and seek under my chair, and wrote all over my desk with a permanent marker, but thank goodness for Mr. clean Magic Eraser!

Here's the finished wreath. I have a bunch of burlap, so I used it to hang the wreath by.

I think it turned out great.

Gave it a little color and texture. Not bad for about 8.00! I think it will look good year round. Maybe at Christmas add some berries.

Spring is Springing!!

Spring is not sprung around here, but it is Springing! I LOVE Spring. I see God's beauty all over the place. I sometimes think I need those little reminders.

My absolute favorite plant is my hydrangeas.

And these hostas are huge, I can't believe how much they grow every year.

Sweet little grin. Oh, and I am so hooked on mini boden. There clothes are the cutest and best quality. I like different clothes, that not every other little guy is wearing.

We took a wagon ride, he loves the wagon. He scares me though, because he tries to jump out why I'm pulling!

They love those books, I don't quite see the point of them, but they love to read them and that what matters most.

Ugh, the flu virus hit around here. I have been busy taking care of sick people. Everyone is back at school and work though. Praise the Lord!!

I told you all I would post Carson's room, I just love how it turned out.

He loves his new "big bed"! He sleeps on both sides, makes for a mess in the morning. we got his bed at Oak express, if you live in the Little Rock area, check that place out, fabulous quality and prices.

I absolutely love these book ledges from Pottery Barn. We had these in his old room too, but I just love them.

I repainted his desk and hutch red and glazed over them a bit too, to give it a worn look. The chalkboard frames were just ugly rooster prints, And I painted over them with chalkboard paint. They look much better now! I framed a star as well, just added some burlap and glued on the star.

I told you about the 4.99 pillows from Ballard's. What a steal!!

I ordered a natural color slipcover to cover his cowboy chair, a great expensive way to change a chair.

I hope you like his room as much as I do. I had fun working on it, and am happy to report that Carson loves it.

I'm going to get back into blogging, I have been so busy and lazy as the same time, HA! I'm going to try to blog EVERYDAY! Now that's a challenge for me!

I guess I better get back to laundry and ironing.

Thrifty finds....

Just wanted to let y'all know that Pier one Imports is having a huge clearance blow out!! I found a set of 6 appetizer plates for 2.09 for all 6 of them. And a set of 6 salad plates of 4.48. They were out of the dinner plates, but I might check the other store. That's a deal. I also picked up this cute cow creamer. Country Living had featured it as one of there thrifty finds. It was only 5.00!!

Also at Hobby Lobby I found this jar that Pottery Barn has been selling and using it in a lot of there decorating. I got it for 12.99. Not bad compared to the 175.00 from Pottery Barn.

I'm thinking of doing something like this in my kitchen.

One more find.... Ballard's is selling their 18 inch and lumbar pillow covers in the off white duck for 4.99. That is even including a monogram. You cant even get a monogram for that price. I bought several for me and for Christmas presents. Thought I would pass that bargain along.

Also, today in a closet, I came across this topiary. It sits in a cute rustic green box. It had ugly white flowers on it the moss ball. Not my style....so I ripped those babies out and added some moss, just like my friend Mandy did! So much better now. So easy and cheap. I love when you can reuse something and give it new life.

Bye Bye cowboy room...Sigh : (

Carson has been persistent on re-doing his "baby" room. We painted his room Sherwin William Hopsack, which I love. We use that color in our houses too. I painted his desk and hutch. I pulled out his old nursery dresser and painted it to, gave it some new life!

The stuff that's thrown up there is not staying. We are waiting for his new bed to get here, and then I will accessorize more.

Carson fell in love with the Pottery Barn kids football bedding. I didn't want it all to be so matchy matchy so we ordered the sheets. I found a denim duvet and shams on Pottery barn teen, it was on clearance! And the stripe euro shams were 6.99 a piece at Kohl's. I also bought the quilt that went with it. It was normally 130.00 and I snatched it up for 25.00. It is very well made and looks expensive. I think it will all look nice and pulled together on the bed.

The curtains are the hemstitch collection from pottery barn kids as well. I LOVE them. The quality of them are excellent.

The lamp was a clearance find as well from Hobby Lobby! 14.88. Perfect colors! I think I'm going to remove the star. It doesn't do much for me!

So when I get it all done, I will be sure to show you! I'm also working on the boys playroom. Throwing stuff away and organizing it. I made some cute chalkboard labels and painted the bookcase. As soon as that is done I will be sure to give you a peek.

Charlie Mac and I have Bible study this morning, and I want to finish some projects around here. I will be back sooner...I promise!

Craigslist scam....

Well, I was excited that I THOUGHT I had sold Carson's bed and dresser on craigslist. This was my first and last.

This person who went by Doctor Aubrey Clark lied to me for a week. He said he just moved here on a job assignment, that he would be sending me a cashier check from his bank. He also supposedly had hearing loss and was a retired dentist.I thought OK. He said he would pick the furniture up when I received the check. He then emailed me last weekend and said his bank messed up on the amount of the check, that it was supposed to go somewhere else, Could he please trust me here and send back the extra money. I told him please do not worry yourself sick this weekend, I would never do anything like that. Well, I got the check and went to my bank and cashed it. They didn't bat an eyelash, we do lots of business with them. I took my money out for the bed and wired the rest of the money back to him through Western Union. Y'all the check was not real. I knew something was up when he emailed me yesterday morning and said Sharae, The bank screwed up again and sent you another check, it is supposed to go for a car to someone else, He said I would get the check today....I did alright. I drug my baby around all day messing with this stuff. i went to the police and they took all the info I had and said, No way is this check real. The police said he sees this a lot. That the people who do this do not even live in the U.S., which makes it impossible to do any thing. I was so hurt and felt so betrayed. I was also ticked at my bank for cashing the counter fit check. They should of looked closer. I'm now responsible for the 2550.00! I won't go into details what happened with the bank. The "Doc" had the nerve to email me again and tell me that the check had been delivered to me, when could I send the money back? I told him He was sick and asked him how many other people has he done this to? His reply was, "What's wrong, Sharae?" SICK!!! As I sat there and boohooed, I honestly thought, I hate this happened to me, but I was glad it happened to me instead of a single mom who would now not be able to feed her babies or pay her rent. It was a lesson learned. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. My mind never even went there, It never crossed my mind. I wish I wouldn't of been so naive, but I can't change what happened. Please be more careful out there on the Internet!

My sweet Valentines....

We had a wonderful Valentine weekend. To start off my Saturday, Charlie had 2 dozen beautiful red roses delivered.

Carson spent the night with Charlie's parents Friday night and he came home Saturday morning with a card he picked out all by himself, he was proud as can be with himself...The card even talked.

Anna my niece came to babysit for the evening. We went to Saddle Creek, which has the best steaks ever! Then we went to see the most romantic movie....The Wolf man! It was the worst movie ever!! Charlie didn't even like it! We had a great time being together though. I truly have the sweetest husband. I'm a lucky girl!

Charlie Mac's 2nd Birthday

Oh, he was the sweetest thing ever, He had so much FUN. Blowing out the candles was the best thing for any mom to watch....

He blew and blew till he was red in the face.

We had my parents and Charlie's parents over for dinner. I made a seafood pesto pasta, strawberry salad and rolls. It was all yummy! I think Charlie Mac had a great time.

He scored some great gifts as well. The Lightening McQueen was his favorite. My mom and dad bought him some cute Summer outfits and we picked up a wooden "Eggo" (that's Diego) train and his first potty!

I made his birthday hat, which he didn't wear out of the wrapping paper I used. I think it turned out cute and was easy. The cake was yummy and cute as well. I love round cakes! I just LOVE this little fella, and can't wait to spend another year with him!

I'm working on figuring out this storyboard collage. Rita from The Coffeeshop gives great tutorials, I'm just still learning! It's fun, but time consuming when you don't know what the heck your doing. My sweet friend Mandy gets texts from me asking her all kinds of questions about blogging and photography. Her pictures are amazing! So, I want to work on getting my images bigger putting text to it!

ANOTHER snow day here in Arkansas! I'm about ready for these little heathens to go to school! Charlie and I are going to take them to Chuckecheese today to get them out of the house.

I even let the kids paint a Valentine picture frame, what a mess!!

I can't believe my baby is TWO today.....

He has brought so much happiness to my heart, He is the completion to our blessed family.

He makes me smile, and when I look at him I know why I was created to be a mother.

Two years has gone by quicker than I ever imagined.

He is a lucky little boy to have big brothers that love him like they do.

A happy ending to a BAD weekend...

All is good now.....But I was scrap booking Saturday when I get a horrible phone call from Charlie telling me I need to get home now there has been an accident.....

Well, Charlie was pulling the boys on the sled by the 4 wheeler, and Charlie went to a stop, but the sled kept on going. To make a long story short, Cole went flying and hit the street sign by our house.

He wrapped around the sign and was knocked out. Charlie was scared to death because he thought he wasn't breathing and was completely lifeless. He called the ambulance and they took him to a local hospital and then they felt they needed to transfer him by ambulance to Arkansas Children's Hospital. He ended up with a broke rib and a very bad bruise to his liver.

This was the scariest thing we have ever went through, We thought the absolute worst. But GOD was so good to us. He heard every prayer we and everyone around us prayed. The doctors said an inch up it would of been a punctured lung and spleen. BUT again GOD is so good and watched over Cole. This has put our life back in check where it should be. You never know what can happen....It went from innocent fun with the boys to an emergency. Charlie and I are so thankful everything ended up great. As we set in the hospital and looked around at all the sick babies and children, we just cried and thanked our GOD for his protection over Cole and how truly blessed we are for our children and their health.

This is the scariest thing for a Mom to have to watch.......

Pottery Barn....I LOVE you

I went to Pottery Barn this past weekend and wanted one of everything.......

I did buy the chunky candle holder, I love all the distressing on it. They had a moss ball on top of the candle holder, but it was 24 dollars. AND I knew I could make one lots cheaper. I bought a large grapevine ball and a couple bags of moss. Hot glued that mess on and Viola! The total for it was 10 dollars, much better. I also found some candle holders at Hobby Lobby while I was there getting my stuff for my moss ball. The candle holders were on clearance for 6.06. I wasn't crazy about the color, but nothing that couldn't be fixed with a can of spray paint! Oh, and the nest and cute little birds came from Tuesday Morning. So now I have a table vignette, that's so easy to Change out.

AND this beauty was 15.00 dollars at a flea market, I Love to find iron stone pieces. This was a steal. This isn't on my table now, but I thought I'd share.

The weather man is calling for snow and ice here. I have plans to go on a scrap booking retreat with some girlfriends. So I hope it's just enough to keep the kids happy and get to stay home from school, but not enough to make Momma mad because she can't scrap!! HA HA. I love going to scrapbook with friends, it's fun to stay up late and laugh and just be goofy! I do get lots done though!! : )

I heart hardwood......

OK, so I'm a little late posting these pictures I said I would. I'm so happy with the results, big mess, but so worth it. This wood will be so much easier to keep clean with little people. And the look and feel of it is soooo what I wanted.

We had the slate tore up in the entry and wood done in here as well, it flows much more now and looks bigger.

Here's the clock I was telling you about. It looks even better than I expected. And this cute bench was a flea market find for 40 dollars. It was a ugly yellow color with ivy stenciled all over it, NOT now!! I still want to distress it more. It look right at home here.

We had a great weekend at home, didn't do much of anything. I can't wait, I have a much more relaxed week ahead. I plan on doing some stuff around here, eating with the boys for lunch and just playing with Charlie Mac. The past couple of weeks I feel as if I never slowed down to appreciate my blessings.....That's going to change. This mornings message at church was what I needed to hear. I love my church and my Sunday School class.

I couldn't resist of posting some of my little munchkin..... The black eye is about gone, I'm glad because I'm sick of explaining I'm not an abuser!! No one has asked, i just think I need to explain to everyone! HA!!

Oh yeah, we had to have one with "baboo" as he calls the passy! : )

Friday at school Carson had his award ceremony.....

"I am proud that I'm getting better at solving word problems". Every child gets an award and they get to say what their proud of. Some parents don't like it that EVERY child gets one, BUT I DO!

The boys did some reading together this weekend....

If you notice the time....I took to long of a Sunday nap after church! I think I need to go and sleep!

Beautiful Monday....

We had a nice long three day weekend, the hubs left me with three kids to go hunting! : )

It was beautiful here though, I think the high was like 63. We took advantage and went outside and rode 4 wheelers, the boys favorite! I was able to sit on the swing and just watch.

Cole is so good to Charlie Mac, he just loves him to death.

Now Carson, different story!........

Cm loves to be pulled in the wagon, and throws a fit when you stop. Yes, he has a snotty nose!

These boys are something else, They keep me on my toes, but I wouldn't want it any other way.

I'm so excited because the wood came in and it's right this time. I will give you a sneak peek later today. I'm enjoying my coffee and catching up on other blogs.

Pottery Barn inspired clock...

I was browsing the new Farmhouse Pottery Barn catalogue, and wanted one of everything in there. It has had me so inspired.

I needed this clock so badly, OK WANTED this clock so badly! But I just did not want to spend 169 dollars.

I did some searching on the web, and came across this clock on eBay.....

I LOVE the details on it. I ordered mine with more antiquing and all antique white not any blues. She also has a sale going with free personalization, I'm having our last name painted on it. The clock is all handmade and painted, no vinyl numbers. I should get this next week, and can hardly wait.

Well, all the hardwood is up and the cleaning lady just left, SO now waiting on that new hardwood to make it here. It was supposed to be here last week, and didn't make it. Needless to say I was not a happy Mama. But, Tuesday they will start laying it. HOPEFULLY!!

SLEEPOVER......

Since we were out of town for Cole's 12th birthday, (I know Mommy of the year!) We let him have a sleepover. I thought it would be crazy, but they were so good. We let him have TWO friends, he had a hard time picking! HA!! We ordered pizza and they watched movies and played Xbox. Charlie Mac and Carson had to be right there with them.

Cole wanted me to make strawberry cake with cream cheese icing. That is his absolute favorite. See the excitement all over him! Stinker*

I can't believe my baby is 12 years old, it doesn't seem possible. It seems like yesterday I brought him home from the hospital. Cole is such a sweet boy with such a gentle heart. I love him so much, it hurts. I will enjoy this last year of him being a little boy, I know next year he will be a teenager. It's hard to even type that out!

Today I heading to the gym to run, ugh!! And I have to go to the grocery, double ugh!

I'm excited because the end of the week we are tearing out our hardwood and putting so new glorious hardwood in. I will keep you posted on that one.

Yummy cod recipe and crib net

Yesterday I bought some fresh cod at the super market, I needed a recipe to go with it. I found this yummy one:

Red Lobster Nantucket Cod

Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs fresh cod fish fillets
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 lemon, juice of
2 small tomatoes
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
Spice Blend
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 dash black pepper
1 dash cayenne pepper
Directions
1Combine all spices in a small bowl and set aside.
2Preheat oven to 425°. Cut fish into 4 (two per serving), and place fillets in a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
3Melt butter in a small bowl in the microwave for 10-20 seconds. Brush the top of each fillet with butter, squeeze little lemon juice on the fish, then sprinkle the spice blend evenly over the top of each fillet.
4Arrange 2 to 3 tomato slices over top of each fillet.
5Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over each tomato slice. Each slice should be about half covered.
6Bake the fish, uncovered, for 8 minutes, then turn oven to a high broil and continue to cook 6 to 8 minutes, or until cheese on tomatoes begins to brown.
7 Serve two pieces of fish per serving with rice on the side.

OK, remember me telling you about the crib issue? Well, The net has finally arrived. It was on back order forever. Let me just tell you what Mr. Mac was doing. He was hopping right on out of his bed at night and laying on the floor by his closed door, (I have a knob cover on it, he can't open). He will lay on the cold floor and go to sleep. It was pitiful, I'm so glad this thing has finally arrived. I bought it from CSN baby.com

More Cruise.....

Just sharing some more pictures of our cruise......

We went on the Carnival Triumph, it was so awesome! The ship was huge. I was afraid I would feel us rocking the whole time, but you can't even feel it. Of course I did one night we went through a storm!

The place is spotless, and I have never seen so many hard workers.

This is us dressed up the first night for dinner. I had so much fun getting ready, it was like going on a date every night. AND if you have children, you know how hardly that happens!

The food was amazing....We ate so stink'n much......BUT we did work out on the ship! :)

We had a balcony room, which I sooooo recommend.

I'm trying to find a good recipe for cod. I bought some fresh Cod at the grocery yesterday. If I find a yummy recipe, I will share it.

Excited....BUT Nervous

Today is the big day for Charlie and I....We will be cruising to Cozumel, Mexico!!!! Neither of us has ever been on a cruise.

Is why I'm nervous is I have NEVER left my kids, without Charlie or I here overnight. I know it's time though. This is much needed quality time for us. Charlie's parents are coming here to stay at the house. My mom and dad are getting the kids too, so it shouldn't be that hard for them.....I hope! I know their in good hands.

I'm thankful that Charlie and I can get away for a bit. It's hard sometimes with three kids. I find myself wore out at the end of the day from motherhood, that there is nothing left to give. So this is perfect, just me and him.... NO children fighting, crying, meals to fix, laundry to wash. I hope to come back refreshed and my relationship with my husband stronger.

Christmas 2009

We had a AWESOME Christmas!! Christmas is definitely my favorite time of the year. I love getting together with family,eating and making memories for our children. I want the boys to know and understand that it is not about the presents but about Jesus birthday. I don't make a big ordeal about presents. Of course, they get plenty! I just don't want them focusing only on gifts.

Christmas Eve we always head over to Charlie's parents for dinner. His mom makes the best Christmas dinner and ANY dinner. I have to watch myself over there!! We exchanged gifts with the kids, and each other. Charlie's parents got Charlie Mac the classic Cozy Coop. He jumped up and down with excitement when Papa brought it out! So sweet.

Christmas morning we were up bright and early to see what Santa left the boys.....

We had all my family over for lunch, I try to keep it simple. I made taco soup and everyone brought something to go along with it. It was all so yummy.

Easy Peasy ornaments.....

Kelly at Kelly's Korner shared this cute idea on Christmas ornaments....

So EASY, simply stuff the clear glass ornaments with shredded paper. I found mine at Micheal's 1.00 a bag. Then tie different ribbons through the top, and slap some stickers on! Viola, Nothing to it. I think they turned out cute. I made several for nieces and nephews. They might not care, but I bet there mommies will. This was super cheap and easy.

I have TWO kiddo's Christmas parties this morning. I need to go get busy.

Yummy scents......

When I was in Branson this past weekend my mom and I hit up Bath and Body Works. They have a super sweet special on their candles, 2 for 19.50.

Oh my, they smell so yummy. My favorites are the Cinnamon clove and vanilla shortbread. you will not be disappointed if you buy you a couple. I snatched up several, they make wonderful gifts. I hope I can depart with the extras I bought. My hubby says the cinnanom clove is the best smelling candle we have ever had! Now that's a lot coming from him. :)

I have been finishing the boys Christmas party goodies. I LOVE being room mom, but it's a lot of work! I need to get off here and finish wrapping presents! Have a good one.

Crib Escapee.....

Well, It was bound to happen.....This little monkey has officially learned how to escape his crib. The other two did it, so he was bound to do it to!! Well, this Momma didn't mess around, I ordered a crib tent for little people just like this.

Here's the little escapee that melts my heart. This morning he was helping me empty the dishwasher. Look at that face.....

And then that wore him out so he needed a bowl of Cheerios. He's such a big boy now! Sigh :)

We have been in our Jammies all day. I have managed to get some house work done. I had to rock Little Mac to sleep since he can get right on out of his crib. I guess I better get off here and finish! :(

Welcome to my home.... Come on in and enjoy yourself. Christmas is my favorite time of the year by far. I love the Christmas tour of homes. I'm glad you came by.

This is our red and green Christmas tree in the living room. I love how it turned out. I use several kinds of ornaments. My favorite are the personalized clay ornaments that I get every year.

The staircase is a bugger to decorate, but so very worth it.

The kitchen table was no exception simple, I found these wooden trees at Kohl's, I forgot to take the tags off!

A sofa table, the nativity set is a special gift from my grandma. Charlie Mac loves to get his little hands on it!

The formal dining room, I kept it simple in here as well. A few Christmas balls and ribbon.

I added just a little touch to our master bedroom fireplace mantle.

Christmas trees....

Kelly's Korner is hosting "Show us your trees" I'm joining in, haven't participated in a while. This is so much fun, I LOVE looking at other trees and get some great ideas.

This is our Christmas in our living room, It's a little more frufru-ie than our other tree. It's green and red with lots of ornaments on the tree. I love snowmen so there's lots of them!

A couple of my favorite ornaments, I get one of these every year with our names and dates on them. Mom got me this sweet one in Branson this year. I LOVE it!

and this is the live tree we picked out with all it's glory on.... I wanted this tree to be simple and kind of on the rustic side. I love how it turned out. The tree top[per just a simple wicker star and a HO HO HO sign.

I fell in love with these cute wooden/paper ornaments. I used a Pier One gift certificate that I got on my birthday from my Mother in law. I so could live in that store!

I just wanted to try and be simple this year, it's so much work to get all the beautiful Christmas stuff out. I usually feel overwhelmed trying to get everything just perfect. That is not what Christmas is about, I want to have plenty of time to enjoy my decorations and have lots of special time with my family. Making cookies with the kids, reading Christmas stories and enjoying a cup of hot chocolate is much more important to me than trying to have everything just right.

Oh, Christmas Tree....

The day after Thanksgiving we headed on over to the Christmas tree farm. We do this every year, and always look forward to it. It makes wonderful memories.

It was a beautiful day, rows and rows of trees.

The tractor ride was Charlie Mac's favorite part of the trip. He was busy looking at the tractor and would not look at me.

We finally found the perfect one after an hour! This year we decided on a pine, the smell is HEAVENLY. Here Cole is sawing down the keeper....

We had a wonderful time finding our perfect tree. We went home quickly and started decorating the pretty little thing. The boys wouldn't help me that much on that, but if you give them saws they will help all day! I had fun decorating it, it's one of my favorite things to do.

One more thing....Did ya'll have any luck with your Christmas cards? We had a friend of mine who happens to be a photographer, come over and take family pictures here at our house. They turned out FANTASTIC! She helped me design the cards, and I can't wait to share them on here. I have to wait to get them mailed out to friends and family first!!!!

It is rainy and freezing here, just a good day to stay inside and piddle. I need to get off here in and wrap some presents. I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.

Our Thanksgiving

Oh, Where do I start.... I have SO much to be thankful for this year. First, my Savior who died on the cross for my sins, so that I can be forgiven! I don't know where I'd be if I didn't know him. I'm so thankful that I KNOW him.

My family is the most important thing I have here on this earth. I thank God every day that he chose ME to have a wonderful God loving husband and three beautiful children. Sometimes I get discouraged with silly things in life, and all I have to do is think about all I have to be thankful for.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and weekend. We spent the evening before Thanksgiving with Charlie's family. I truly am blessed to have wonderful in laws.

Week in review....

It's been kind of crazy around here.... I have been under the weather, so Charlie has been playing Mr. Mom. I think he's about ready to play Mr. Dad again, Heehee!

Anyways, last weekend Cole shot a deer, if you don't like pictures of dead animals... you probably better come back and visit another time. He was soooo excited, and we were excited for him. Men and their deer start early!! :0)

A little peak of Christmas...

YES, I have started my Christmas decorating... I know don't hate me because I'm about done! HAHA. I Like to start early because then I have so much more time to enjoy all the hard work I have put into it. So, here's just a peak at my mantles.

This is the main living room mantle..

And, this is the hearth room fireplace, this is where we put our real Christmas tree and Santa stops here. I love the feel of this room, very casual and comfy. I ordered these stockings from Pottery Barn and absolutely LOVE them. Excellent quality. If your interested go here. I ordered them on Sunday and got them on Tuesday! Super fast shipping. I had been looking for stocking holders that were heavy, but not so darn expensive. Well, I found these babies at Tuesday morning, for 12.00$. They were bright gold, but a little bit of spray paint was all it took!

I will share more later, so check back. We have a pretty busy Saturday around here. Carson has his end of the season football party and we have lots of leaves to rake.

I Heart beadboard...

Ok, So I didn't post twice the other day. Shame on me!

Anyways A couple of weeks when my hubby was out of town, I decided to try my hand at this bead board wallpaper that's floating all over blog land. AND let me tell you.... It was so easy and it looks like the real thing, but so much easier and cheaper.

Here is like the only picture I could find of the before. I know my parents and brother look so enthused.

What a HUGE difference it made. It lightened up the room and gave it a cozy and not so formal look. Just what I wanted. I did change out the curtains to a creamy white silk. I ordered them from Overstock. The rug as well was purchases from Overstock.

My antique sideboard, which is my favorite piece in my whole house.

I'm starting a collection of white plates on the wall. I want several more, but just got to find them!

I so recommend the bead board wallpaper. If your looking for an alternative to the real thing.

I have already started decorating for Christmas, I know very early, but I want to be able to enjoy all the hard work I put into it.

Trick OR Treat...

Trick or treat smell my feet give me something good to eat!!

We had a great Halloween evening here at our house. Complete with the pumpkin carving, yummy hamburgers off the grill and trick or treating in the hood :)

The boys were not cooperating on pictures this year. Carson was a clone trooper and Charlie Mac was a sweet little lion. Cole decided he was just to big to walk around the neighborhood with his monogrammed pumpkin, Sigh :(

We even dressed up Jake as a bumblebee, everyone got quite a kick out of him!

Charlie Mac had a blast going up to the doors, he would want more candy to put in his spider basket, than what they were handing out, so you can imagine how much extra candy we got.

So sweet, I wish he would stay this size forever....

This was earlier in the day, Is this not the cutest pumpkin tee, a garage sale for a whopping 25 cents!

Bonn fire fun....

Oh my, we had a busy weekend. Charlie's cousin Wendy and her sweet family came in from Louisiana to visit for the weekend. We got all the family together for a Bonn fire and wienie roast. We had a great time eating and visiting. We have two new little additions to our family. I am a GREAT aunt! HA, that really sounds old.

It was a glorious Fall day here in Arkansas, so we loaded up and went to the pumpkin patch. I was a little disappointed, not many pumpkins. All the rain we had really effected the pumpkins this year. We did have a great time though.

The CRAFTROOM reveal.....

FINALLY........ I got my pictures uploaded, I'm such a slacker these days! I guess I have an excuse, THREE kids, actually THREE BOYS!!!!

I'm not totally thru, but so close. There are a few other things I want to do in here.

But, here's a few pictures, keep in mind this used to be a deer head room! My husband took this room over when we moved in, and he finally gave it over! HA!!

This cute little shelf here, was a ugly dark brown 70's style bookcase. I knew there was some potential and at the cost of 25.00! I took a little of my Heirloom white spray paint and sprayed the heck out of it. Now a cute shelf for me to keep all my scrapbook supplies in. I hung a mirror I already had and some of my white plates.

This corner table is a antique I picked up at the flea market. It is the perfect size for in here, and is a great space to sew and scrap. The chair is a ladder back with a rush seat, and I gave it a coat of my favorite spray paint too.

Right above the table I have ordered this shelf to hold more of my craft supplies. It is on back order until the 1st of November.

Here's some of the details.....

These curtains I fell in love with, I found them at Tuesday Morning and they were 9.99 a panel. I knew they wouldn't be long enough for my high ceilings, so I added a little burlap to the bottoms. I think they turned out pretty good!

This small side table, I found at a garage sale, 5.00! AND of course sprayed the mess out of it to. I know my neighbors think I'm CRAZY! :)

All my accessories were found at flea markets and garage sales. I paid a whopping 3.00 for the magazine holder!

My computer chair sits by my armorie, and it was 3.00 also at a garage sale.

And I have to share this, This morning Charlie Mac was helping me do laundry. It was the sweetest thing ever. I just LOVE him to pieces.

All in all I'm very happy with it in here, and I have my own space to craft in. I feel good that I didn't pay a lot for the things I needed. You really can achieve so much with very little money!

Well, My big baby boy Cole, had to get glasses last week. He was coming home from school almost every day with a headache. I thought it would be best to get his eyes checked. sure enough, he has astigmatism in his right eye. glasses could possibly correct it, so we will see how it goes. I think he looks pretty darn CUTE myself!!!

Carson had a football game Saturday and I snatched a couple of pictures...

I thought charlie Mac looked sweet in his football longall Sunday for church....

Really nothing much going on around here. I just wanted to pop in and share Cole's new look!

Post Tubes.....

Oh my what a CRAZY end of the week!!! I think I'm back to normal, well, as normal as I am! HAHA!

Charlie Mac had his tubes done last Thursday and all went good. Poor baby he had no idea what was fix'n to happen to him. Bless his little heart. He did not like any of the nurses or doctors messing with him. They took him back and he just stared at me and cried, talk about a broken heart for this Momma. When they brought him back after the surgery he didn't even cry much. My other two did, I think from the anesthesia. I was prepared for him to scream bloody murder, but he was pretty calm. The next morning he started running a fever, I was freaked out. I went ahead and took him to his doctor and had him checked out. I even had them do a flu test, I have been scared about this whole swine flu thing. I know it's just a strand of the flu, but there have been some deaths around here. When it comes to my boys health, I'm a complete nut! Anyways, I think CM just had some kind of fever virus, he's all better now.

We have had a super busy weekend, Carson had a football game Saturday and We had a Sunday school party yesterday evening. Today has been pretty calm, Charlie and the boys are putting up a deer stand, this aftrnoon. Oh, Boy... The hunting is beginning soon.

My sweet fella is having tubes put in his ears Thursday morning. I hate that he has to have them, but it will make a huge difference. My other two boys had them also, so I figured Charlie Mac would have to have them to. His ear infections didn't start till around January, once he slowed down on nursing. I'm a firm believer that him being breastfed for over a year definitely helped him stay so healthy. this is just one of those things that is probably genetic, and that I'm sure he will outgrow like my other two did. We have to be a the hospital bright and early and I will keep you updated.

I was trying to change my sheets on the bed this morning, and he would not get OFF!!!! We had fun playing in the sheets!

Ok, I finally finished my bar stools, they were a bargain at a local flea market. I got all three for 75 dollars, WHOOT,WHOOT}

I can't find my pictures of what they looked like before. Anyways, I used my spray paint and painted them babies and wiped of in areas where I wanted them to look distressed. I'm so happy with them and they look wonderful with my table. I feel so good about it to, because I saved quite a bit of money. they look so similar to Ballard's and Pottery Barn, but a fraction of the price. I love the rush seats, now my boys can wipe their little grimy hand on them, and they will clean right up.

And here's a sneak peak at my new craft room, just a few more things to do and I will be done. You will just have to come back and visit!!

Busy as a BEE....

It has been so crazy around here lately. I guess with adding the boys extra activities and all has just overloaded me!! Charlie Mac had a ear infection last week, so he only went to ONE morning of preschool. He did go this Tuesday and cried the WHOLE time, such a little mommas boy *sigh}. He goes tomorrow to preschool and I have a bunch of things to do.

I have been working on my sewing and craft room this week. When I'm totally done I will share some pictures with you, so you need to come back!! The bar stools I ordered from Ballard are on back order again, so I'm thinking I'm going another route. I will share more on that later.

The weather here this week has been HORRIBLE, it has done nothing but rain, ugh!! :) I'm ready for Mr. Sun. Well, I better go get these boys tucked in the bed. Carson and I are reading Charlotte's Web, one of my all time favorites. One of my favorite things to do is snuggle up with my boys and read with them!

My little man started preschool

Well, Charlie Mac survived the morning!!! He screamed when I dropped him off this morning, but his teacher Mrs. Shawn said, for only 5 minutes. He did great and played with the toys and even went out on the playground. I wanted some pictures of him in his class, but I just had to let him go, if I stayed it would of been much, much worse. All in all he did great. It was all I could do to keep him awake, and feed him lunch before I laid him down. I missed him and was one happy Momma to go and pick him up!

Deer camp!!

Last Sunday we packed us a little lunch and headed to Charlie's deer camp. He needed to check his cameras to see if there have been some BIG bucks strolling around!! The kids and I decided to go along with him and take the four wheelers for a family ride. There is never a dull moment here with the Bryant boys! Carson got his four wheeler stuck two times and Charlie had to pull him out, it was pretty funny. We had a great time just riding the five of us. There wasn't a soul in sight. ;)

Ballard stools...

Well, I have been wanting new kitchen bar stools for a while now, you know to go with my new farm table.

I really, really wanted these out of Ballard's These beauties were featured in Southern Living I just got in the mail. Charlie DID NOT like these because they didn't have backs, and said the boys would fall off and hit their heads. Well, he is probably right.....

So, I got these in the rubbed cream color. I love the french country look of them, and the rush seats.

Busy, Busy, Busy.......

Oh, My...... We have been so busy around here this past week. we are getting the hang of school starting back and our busy football schedule, Wear me out!! :)

We have had a beautiful weekend here, not our typical end of August weather. We have spent just about every free minute outside. We landscaped in front of Charlie's shop yesterday and it looks so much better. I will share pictures of that soon.

Charlie Mac is just the cutest thing ever, He LOVES his tractor and loves pushing it all around the yard. I couldn't help but share these sweet pictures of this little fellow.

We are heading to church this morning and then going out to Charlie's deer camp to ride four wheelers and just enjoy the outside with the boys.

It was beautiful here Saturday. In between the boys football drafts I went to a new flea market that is just a few minutes away. I found some pretty neat things.

I couldn't pass up these silver candle holders. I think the one is called a candelabra. It was hand made in India. I love white anything, so I picked up this white milk glass vase.

I LOVE this old iron. It was 2.00, I thought it would look cute in my laundry room.

And, we eat popcorn just about every night around here, so these Pottery Barn bowls are perfect.

New puppies and first day of school......

We had a super BUSY day here yesterday......

The boys first day of school and our super sweet black lab had our puppies!!!! We are just giddy around here, they are so cute. We bred her to our yellow lab Jake, and now there are 2 little Jakes and 4 little Jazzes. We are keeping one and the other 6 are already sold. Our dogs are part of our family, so the boys are having a hard time understanding why we can't keep all 7 of them. It was hard to get them off to their first day of school, because they wanted to stay and look at the puppies. I did get one picture!!!

The Table Reveal......

I just LOVE my new table!!! We got it put in this morning. I have been wanting a farm table for so long, and am just tickled to death to finally have it done. It is just perfect for our little (well, big) family!!

Here's some pictures I snapped this morning. I just love the antique cream color legs, I wanted something that could NOT be messed up with three little boys!!

The knots and dents just give it so much more character......

This weekend was pretty busy with open houses, Carson was not to excited about his. He does love school and will hop right on in there. School starts here for us on Wednesday, for Cole and Carson. Charlie Mac starts September 8th. He will only go on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 till 11:30. I can't believe my last little stinker will start preschool. I'm looking forward to having a couple of hours to get stuff done around here. The summer has gone by so quick and I love having all of us home for the Summer, but I am ready to get back in a routine. I am a very routine person, I drive my family crazy sometimes!!

My table

Well, I went yesterday a took a peek at my table, All I can say is I think I'm in love! It is looking absolutely perfect for us!! The top is 2 inches thick of solid oak, and the table weighs a whopping 300 pounds or so. I wanted a solid heavy duty table that would last forever, I think I got it. It will be ready for staining next week, the top will be stained a medium to dark stain. The legs will be painted black made to look old. Carrol Owens has done a fantastic job.

Have you ever had one of those crazy weeks, like your running around with your head cut off??? Well, this week has been one of them. To start things off my Maytag dishwasher, mind you only 5 years old went to poop. So we ran to Lowes today and picked one up and Charlie and his Dad got it all put in. Thank you Rick!! :)

Since I have been feeling so overwhelmed with trying to get everything done around (here with three kids) I pulled out the old Mr. Family notebook. It has everything in this neat little book. I keep my schedule,shopping list,the boys papers from school and anything else I need for the week. Each person has their own little pocket where they can keep their things. I have my schedule and shopping list down in those paper protectors and use a wipe off marker, so I can keep using the same one. I really do love this thing, and I feel so much more organized when I keep up with it. Our schedule is fix'en to get busy around here, the boys start school in a week. Today we went and registered for football, both of the boys are playing. Whew, that wears me out just thinking about all the practices.

There has been some cuteness her this week though, I love these boys more than words can describe, I feel so blessed to be their mother, Sometimes things are hard when you have all three home with you durring the summer, but it's GREAT.

Tonight my little sister is coming over to watch the boys while Charlie and I go have some alone time. We are heading to Red Lobster!! Have a great evening.

My sweet baby is 18 months

Oh My, how time has flown by, I can't believe my little Charlie Mac is 18 months old. It seems like yesterday I was on my way to the hospital. He has been such a joy to our lives, I feel as if our little family is complete.......

We had us a little photo shoot outside, it's hard to photograph a toddler on a mission! I did get some cute ones though.

I hope you enjoyed some cuteness!!!

I'm excited to go and peek at my table. I have waited forever on this thing, but I know it will be so worth it when it's finished. I will post some pictures later this evening of it. It will still be a couple more weeks before it's complete, but this way I get a peek!!

Today is Charlie's 34th birthday!! He took off this morning and went trout fishing with two of his best buds. He had to sneak away, because if the boys knew he went fishing there would of been some tears ......

When he got home the boys helped him clean them, so we can eat'em up this weekend. I got some good pictures while we were out there helping.

It's a beautiful day here in Arkansas.....

My hibiscus are doing so great this year, I plant these every year around the pool.....

I was trying to get a close up of these huge bees, they love my Collas. I don't think I'm spelling that right??!

But, most importantly I want to wish Charlie a happy 34th birthday. I'm so incredibility blessed to have him as my husband and the father of my children. I know I take him for granted at times, but I couldn't imagine my life without him. I hope he has a wonderful day. The whole family is going over to my mother in laws for Charlie's birthday dinner. He wants her to cook fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn and his favorite pies...... Apple and banana cream!! My mouths already watering!

Lamps transformed

I'm very happy with how my lamps turned out!! They were pretty to start with, but just not the look I was wanting. I tried to take them back to Hobby Lobby, but they were only going to give me 23.00 for the pair because I could not find my receipt. NO THANK YOU!! :)

So I went right next door to Joann's and bought me some creamy burlap and some trim. The total was 12.50.

My favorite spray paint is Heirloom White, So I gave them a quick coat. Then the lamps were super easy to cover, laid that burlap out and got my hot glue gun and covered the babies up! I used my hot glue to add the trim around the top as well. I'm going to get some more trim and glue to the bottom. And that was all there was to it.

Our last day in Branson we hit the lake, there is a wonderful beach area. the boys had so much fun.

Branson Trip

We're back!! We had such a great week. We were nothing but busy, I feel like I need a vacation from my vacation, HA :) It was very nice to sleep in my own bed last night, with no little people. I have to say though, I did all my laundry there in the condo, so I haven't had much to do, just put away.

We did so much there every day, and it was so wonderful to not have to cook. I can't believe I'm fix'en to say this, but I kind of missed cooking, I did say KIND OF. I just get tired of eating out after a while.

I have posted tons of pictures and I still have more to share, so bare with me.

This is a beautiful outdoor mall, and the weather was perfect all week. I love this one of Daddy holding two of the three boys!

We spent one full day at Silver Dollar city, the boys had so much fun. This is the train ride.....

There is the neatest crafts there as well, here is the place where a guy makes baskets, it was the neatest thing to watch. Of course I bought a piece of his work, I had the hardest time choosing but I ended up with a picnic basket.

I'm so thankful we got to get away for the week, but am so thankful to be home! If you have never been to Branson, you ought to go. It is a fun place to visit

Changing the subject, I got this catalog from Mini Boden. I ordered Charlie Mac the cutest things ever. Do check them out. I'm starting on the boys back to school shopping, I like to do as much online as possible!

Indoor Picnic

Well, it was so BLAZING hot last week we had us a little picnic inside. Carson and Charlie Mac thought it was the coolest thing ever, but Cole thought it was the worst thing ever! He's getting so big on me, sigh :) I had to make him sit with us and eat! Ha Ha!!

We have had a great weekend, we've done as little as possible. We had our Sunday school cookout/swimming party last night. We had a great time and are getting to know some family's better. We go to a big church and it's hard to get to know people, so we have been working hard on getting to know more people.

Tomorrow sometime we are heading to Branson, Missouri. If you have never been to Branson, you are missing out. It is the best little town for families, so much to do for the kids and the entire family{so much shopping for Mommy!}

I have been working on a pair of lamps, giving them a new look. I will be posting them soon.

He looks like he's enjoying himself here :)

I LOVE cast iron!

Well, I finally got my white cast iron sink and new faucet. I'm so excited, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. The pictures are not that great, but believe me it makes a big statement in my kitchen. I have been wanting a farm sink,but we would of had to redo some cabinets, and I just couldn't justify that, so I got just the basic cast iron sink. Cast iron is great because it will not scratch!! the faucet is a long goose neck oil rubbed bronze faucet. I have always wanted one of those big things!

I also took off three of my cabinet doors in the kitchen to show off my fine china, Ha!! really not fine, it's are everyday dishes. It really gave it a open clean feel to the room. My husband didn't think it was that grand, but Oh, well he will get used to it. I told him it would grow on him! I really am happy with the results.

Oh and yesterday, I found these Thomasville Windsor chairs at Tuesday Morning. Let me just tell you what I paid for them, they were on clearance for 69.99 and all clearance was buy one get one half off! It was a total score. We are having a custom farm table built for the breakfast room, We have just outgrown ours. I'm going to do 8 chairs and want to mix and match them. So with four of these babies, I just need four more different chairs. Thomasville has excellent quality and I was not about to pass theses up. They are such the feel I'm wanting.

You can't tell from the pictures, but there is great detail to the staining on these. They look old and that's what I wanted.

I have also been working on my staircase. Rhonda, at Southern Hospitality has been my inspiration. I will post some pictures of it when I'm done. Go and check her wonderful blog out! Have a great evening.
